The great thing about this camera is that it can capture photos at high resolution and great details the same is the case with shooting a video as it can give the best results

but unfortunately, you have to work really hard to get the best results as there is no room for error.

This means that even the tiniest of errors will be revealed in the image or video means there must be no vibration or loss of concentration while capturing a photo or shooting a video.

The camera poses great resolving power that any lens focus error, softness, camera movement is going to be e obvious clear so for pixel peepers, they are in for a tough time because the errors will be highlighted even the tiniest ones.

The depth of field is not definite and fixed thing but it is highlighted by the Nikon d 850.

Generally, there is only one point to focus on in a picture and lens aperture doesn’t really matter while the depth of field is the acceptance level of sharpness in front and behind of this plan that can be increased with different sizes of apertures generally smaller ones.

The Nikon D850 produces perfectly focus details which is so clear and sharp that any drop off isn’t acceptable as it becomes noticeable quite quickly.

So for exploiting the capability of this camera you need to exactly focus on the key elements in a picture and not the depth of field in the way.

Lab tests from the digital camera world suggest that the D850 is off the scale as it out resolved the test charge when they compare it with other variants 50-megapixel medium format cameras.

They also found that it is rare for a medium format camera to out resolve its variants when it comes to testing resolutions.

They compared the D850 with the Canon EOS SDS and d810 and found that the resolution of the D850 is of the scale.

The color rendition it provides is quite great as it is rich but natural looking and live up to the expectation of any professional photographer as Nikon DSLR cameras have a history of pleasing its users.

There is an option of three different auto white balances which will be proved useful to professional photographers and travelers however some users may think of it unnecessary.

The D850 jpegs do become smooth and show more noise at higher ISO settings but it is common for such types of cameras to have as in normal viewing conditions we are unable to examine the full details of these images.

This camera is not a low light specialist but it works well in low light conditions when you increase the ISO.

So far we have found that the autofocus system of Nikon lens is best yet as the prior versions like d500 and d5 performed quite well and it is obvious that this camera is never going to disappoint.

The only little drawback we think is that the exposure area does not extend to the edges and that may create uncertainty as the objects situated away from the center may not get the great exposure as compared to the center.

Generally, Nikon uses simple contrast system with great precision however it is a bit slow but in the Nikon d850 you can switch to live view mode suitable for tripod shots.

Normally it performs quite fast without having an SD card but those users who want to get the full speed of this camera must upgrade their stock of cards.

You can easily achieve a frame rate of 7 / 9 FPS but the only problem is the length of the service as we were unable to get the recommended 64GB Sony qxd card which has its maximum speed of 440 MB per second.

So we tried the alternative and went for the Sony US to SD card with slightly lower write speed and found that after 30 raw shots it slows down.

After testing a relatively slow card we went for the professional 440 MB per second xqd card and found that the speed went up significantly but we tested all at 7 FPS.

When you are about to shoot at 9 FPS it is going to the require really fast memory card as in our case we found that even the fast lexar xqd card could not keep up and we were able to get the half capacity at 7 FPS with 23 14 – lossless compressed raw files, similar number of bit uncompressed raw files and 30 14-bit compressed files.

now it is obvious that the Nikon d 850 is one of the greatest cameras for photographers and video makers but you have to use the memory card technology and image processing to its very limits.

Nikon d 850 megapixel

The Nikon d 850 comes with a 45.7 megapixel lens that is capable of capturing images at 9 fps which is great.

It can capture many 14 bit raw files before slowing down however if it slows down a little bit you can always go back to 2 shooting jpegs or dropping the frames per second to 7 FPS or even using the 12-bit raws instead but generally it will never disappoint you.

The image quality, mechanical performance, and low light video shooting has been one of the strengths of Nikon d 850. the autofocus through its continuous shooting speed and buffer capacity is second to none as earlier discussed it can capture many 14 bit raws.

As it has been built on the reputation of the prior versions of Nikon d series with D800 and D810 that had great resolving power and overall performance.

We have spent some time with this great camera and we are really impressed.
